There are so many beloved Pixar characters across their many movies, but Ranker has named the ones who delivered the most laughs to fans.

The Pixar movies are filled with iconic characters that inspire many different emotions in fans. Some are inspiring heroes, some are terrifying villains, and some are heartbreakingly tragic characters. But some of Pixar's most beloved characters are the ones who make fans laugh.

Despite the stories they tackle, Pixar movies are always filled with lots of humor and there are always certain characters who really stand out as the funniest. Ranker has highlighted some of the funniest characters from Pixar's collection and it's impossible to deny the laughter these animated icons bring.

While Inside Out deals with all sorts of human emotions, it is hard to ignore Anger when he really flares up. The brilliant casting of famously worked-up comedian Lewis Black really sells the character as a hot-head who is endlessly entertaining to watch lose his cool.

It is an interesting juxtaposition between the rage the character is feeling and how funny it is to fans. But seeing anger just constantly on the edge of ranting about every little thing is surprisingly hilarious and many a bit more relatable than some are willing to admit.

As the second Pixar movie ever, A Bug's Life sometimes gets forgotten and is one of their most underrated movies. It is filled with great insect characters that bring this adventure to life and nobody steals scenes more than the kind yet overweight caterpillar Heimlich.

With his exaggerated German accent and excitable energy, Heimlich is instantly lovable and just about every one of his lines is worth a laugh. His dream throughout the movie of transforming into a beautiful butterfly also has a wonderful payoff in the end.

Though they are technically three characters, the Green Aliens from Toy Story can be counted as one character as they not only share the same personality but also speak in unison. They are introduced in Toy Story as oddly devoted aliens who worship the claw machine game.

They become part of the larger cast in the sequels when three of them are adopted as Mr. Potato Head's children. Their somewhat creepy way of talking and oblivious nature to the world around them make them a great punchline throughout the movies.

While Woody and Buzz Lightyear are the main characters of the Toy Story movies, Andy's room is filled with so many memorable characters, including the sarcastic piggybank Hamm. Unlike some of the more outrageous personalities in these movies, Hamm is simply funny because of his dry-witted comments.

He always seems as though he has no interest in being involved in whatever is going on, he has an endlessly cynical personality, and he is always ready with an insult. It is an acerbic style that is a nice contrast to the more pleasant toys.

If Hamm is Andy's most cynical toy, then Mr. Potato Head is his grumpiest one. Once again, it is that rougher personality in a character who is meant to be a children's toy that makes him so funny.

Voiced by legendary comedian Don Rickles, Mr. Potato Head is constantly complaining and looking for somebody to blame. Of course, he develops a somewhat softer side when Mrs. Potato Head comes along, but he is always a character who can be counted on to deliver some funny comment in even the direst of situations.

Animated movies are known for their funny animal sidekicks and Dug is one of the best. In Up, Dug is one of the unusual critters Carl and Russell meet on their adventure. he is a dog with a machine attached to him that allows his inner thoughts to be heard and it is as funny as it sounds.

While some of Dug's colleagues are more intimidating, he is a fun-loving canine whose thoughts are exposed to be endlessly upbeat, cheerful, and friendly. There is also a hilarious running gag of him constantly being distracted by squirrels.

Pixar explored the ocean world in Finding Nemo, introducing one of its most beloved characters at the same time. Dory is a friendly fish who does the best she can to be helpful despite having a very short-term memory.

She is a bubbly and fun character who approaches every situation with curiosity and open-mindedness, but she is also aloof, making her observations constantly funny. It is no surprise that this scene-stealer was given her own spinoff movie with Finding Dory.

Pixar movies often like to feature characters who go against audience expectations. Such is the case with Rex, Toy Story's toy dinosaur who is more neurotic than scary. As soon as he is introduced in the first movie, he comes off as a clever and hilarious creation.

Rex is always a ball of anxiety, worrying about every little thing. His panicky nature is mixed with the fact that he is supposed to be a terrifying monster. He always adds a fun eccentric energy to all the adventures of those movies.

While the superhero family in The Incredibles is quite thrilling, it is a side character who steals the whole show from them. Edna Mode is a legendary costume designer for the heroes and someone who takes that role very seriously.

Seeming more like a fashion guru than someone in the superhero world, Edna nevertheless takes charge of every situation with her direct and stern expertise. Her hilarious advice about not wearing capes makes for some terrific satire of the superhero genre.

Similar to Rex in Toy Story, Mike Wazowski is a character who seems like he should be scary but is actually just a ball of fun. He is a wisecracking and good-spirited monster who is always ready with a joke or witty comment.

His easy friendship with his best buddy Sully also helps Mike's funny side shine. And when it is revealed that the monsters can use children's laughs as energy rather than their screams, Mike becomes the perfect man for the job with his comedic sensibilities.
